One of the most important
rooms in a house is the kitchen and one of the busiest and most used as well.
Here in Pakistan, we follow
trends in designing from all over the world. So when we are talking about
kitchen designs, we want to follow the most popular trends.
Kitchen cabinets have the
first impression upon entering a kitchen. Over the past several years, colors
have been going in and out of trends and those who want to stay in touch with
the latest trends keep changing them with the passing years.
If you are constructing a new
kitchen or remodeling an old one, here a few timeless tips from Master Paints
for choosing colors for your kitchen cabinets and helping in creating an
amazing space for you.
1. Evaluate your space:
Before
finalizing a color for your cabinets, keep in mind what kind of a space you are
working on. If you have a spacious kitchen, you can go for the dark shades
you’ve been looking out for. Darker and deep shades will make your place look
cozy as well as interesting.
If your
kitchen is more of a small room, the best bet is to go with neutrals and
lighter hues of your favorite colors. They will brighten up the space making it
look larger than it really is. Blush pink is the new neutral nowadays. The Rose White
from Master Paints Matt Enamel series will do justice to that.
2. Classic color combinations:
Some colors
are classics, which means they are timeless and never go out of trend e.g.
whites, creams, grays or wood colored cabinets. If you are constructing a new
kitchen, the best advice would be to go for a classic color combination, that
will stay for years to come and you can always add contrast by adding a pop up
color in any furniture item or accessories. You can also create a warm and
timeless effect by adding two neutrals for example cream on gray.
3. Latest Trends:
Dark colors
are making a big comeback in 2019. Although white has been the top priority for
the past 3 years; navy, black and forest green are trending more than even the
grays of the previous years. A mixture of light and dark colors is also making
a great impact e.g. upper cabinets being a dove white and the bottom cabinets a
navy blue.
4. Personal Choice:
If sometimes
colors are too boring or too bold for you, try two shades of one color. In the
end, it all comes back to what YOU
prefer as it is you who will be spending maximum time in your kitchen.
Most
importantly, whatever your project is, use high quality construction paint.
Master Paints Matt Enamel is a great choice especially for kitchen cabinets, as
it has stain resistance quality. Also it is anti-fungal and environment
friendly.
