While choosing paint colors and finishes for your home, we have to make sure we choose the right finish for the right material and at the right place. Using glossy paints on interior walls or using matt paints on the doors, windows or trims isn’t considered the best of choices as we have to keep in mind the usage as well as the overall look of the place.
We don’t open or close walls or ceilings but we use our doors and windows a lot while moving around in the house or by keeping the place ventilated. When we talk about them, it’s better to use colors that are in contrast with the wall colors as that will make them stand out. Choosing the same color as the walls will make the doors and windows blend in with the walls and won’t give a classy look. If you still want to go with the same color tones, it’s advised to go in a lighter tone from the wall color as it will make the room a little spacious to look as dark colors will help make a room look more closed together.
Master Paints offers a number of finishes for the doors and windows of your house as we have it covered from wood lacquer to a metallic finish and from glossy or matt enamels to a range of Duco paints.
If you want to just give a clear gloss to your wooden doors, you can go with Wood Master, the scratchproof, hard, smooth and transparent lacquer that will make you be in love with it because of its super finish and fast drying technology. For a metallic finish, we have the Synthetic Metallic which has a glittery shine for all wood or metal surfaces you want to refresh or give a metallic shine to.
We advise using a semi-gloss or gloss finish for your doors and windows as they are easy to clean, keeping in mind the excess use of doors we have daily. They give out a shiny finish and hold up well to scrubbing. Paints with some degree of glossiness are used on steel doors. While painting exterior doors or gates which have to tolerate different weather conditions, keep in mind that our Synthetic and Matt enamels are suitable for all type of interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. Enamels give an opaque and thick covering and are easy to clean. Even if you want to give a Matt finish to your room separators, our color range of Matt Enamel Paints have got you covered.
